Canto’s Cumulus Enterprise DAM Software Earns Top Spot on Capterra’s DAM Top 20 List
December 8, 2015 – San Francisco, CA. — Canto, a leading provider of digital asset management (DAM) solutions, today announced that the company has once again been named the most popular provider of DAM software by Capterra, an online service that helps businesses find the right software. This marks the second time that Canto and its Cumulus enterprise DAM software have earned the top spot in Capterra’s DAM research findings this year.
Published in November 2015, the latest round of research is summarized in Capterra’s online infographic titled, “The Top 20 Most Popular DAM Software Solutions.” Using its proprietary Popularity Index, Capterra determined the DAM software provider rankings through a weighted score based on the number of current customers, the number of active users and the social media reach of each solution. Capterra also takes into account customer reviews posted on Capterra.com.
One of those reviews, posted by Susan Chapman, Creative Services Traffic Manager at Leggett & Platt, Inc., underscores the time savings and return on investment that Cumulus delivers. “We recently moved to a new server and it became a searchable nightmare to find our jobs in archive. The solution was to catalog them through Cumulus. This allowed us to search quickly and also to allow the designers to pull the assets to their system as needed. The time we use now is a fraction of the time used previously and when you translate that to wage resources it has and will continue to pay for itself,” Chapman said.
According to Capterra, the importance of DAM is on the rise as organizations of all sizes increase their use of digital media, including images, photos and videos in marketing, advertising and branding campaigns and website design. Nearly 200 DAM vendors are listed in the Capterra directory, which is designed to assist these organizations in finding the right solution for their business to allow safer and more secure management, maintenance and ongoing use of diverse digital media files.
“With thousands of customers worldwide, Canto has been a pioneer and innovator in the market since 1990,” said Leslie Weller, director of marketing for Canto. “We continue to listen intently to our customers and look for new ways to support their fast-growing needs, with powerful integrations, improved workflows and other features that create an exceptional user experience. We’re very honored that Capterra, as well as our customers, have once again recognized our software for the value it delivers to the market.”
The complete ranking of top DAM vendors can be found on the Capterra website. For more information on DAM implementations, download Canto’s latest e-book, “How to Manage a Successful DAM Project,” here.
